The Old Town of Corfu
The Old Town is the place that you will find the most remarkable historic monuments from all the island. A visit to Corfu is incomplete without someone to walk around the Old Town.
For sure you must walk around the UNESCO World Heritage and to see all the historic Venetian and Neoclassical houses painted pale yellow and orange. You will walk among the pastel – coloured houses with the exceptional wrought-iron balconies and the green wooden blinds. You will wonder through characteristic paved streets – where laundry hangs between pastel-coloured residences. The narrow alleys end to open plazas with plenty of bars and restaurants full of locals and tourists. Devote time to discover every corner and small square and walk around the labyrinth of the narrow streets and alleys and the richness of discoveries to be made at each one of them!
