The festival of Saint Agathi

Every summer, in the very heart of August, Aetoliko and Stamna, living and breathing, live and breathe at the rhythms of the zurna and daulia.

The Aetolians and the Stamnites celebrate their Saints and celebrate. A very complex festival where the religious element is intertwined with the historical, the social and the symbolic element. The traditional Feast of St.Agathi and St. Simeon is the most important feast in the Aetolokarnania area.
