Ecomuseum Malesco
Accademia dei runditt
In the framework of the promotion and enhancement of local products, the association “Accademia dei runditt” has been established to protect a traditional product, the”runditt” which are thin wafers made with flour and water. Nowadays, the association has been recognised as a Slow Food community and has been awarded the De.C.O. label from the Municipality of Malesco. The Academy was established in conjunction with the first edition of the festival “Runditt, turtei e turte ad San Per” held at Malesco on 12 June 2016. The very purpose of the Academy is to protect and promote the Runditt, a product which has always been very popular among Malesco’s families and is known in the rest of the Vigezzo Valley as “Stinchett”. In collaboration with the Ecomuseum of the Soapstone and Stonecutters, the associaton aims to add value to the product. Since 2nd June 2017, the 2nd issue of the Ecomuseum Journal, entitled “Runditt, the tradition looking to the future”is available.
