The increasing participation of mountain roads throughout Greece and abroad led to create a local organization of a mountain road race, called Corfu mountain trail.
The institution began in 2012 and every year tries to develop the participation of athletes. Until today there were 2 different routes that one could take part in the Olive Tree Trail (17km) and the Rain Trail (37km). This year is planned a 5km long trail for hikers to motivate as many athletes as possible to enjoy the winter nature of Corfu. Corfu mountain trail takes place every May usually in the first two weeks.
